This livery is for the Heatblur F-14B for DCS and represents VF-143 during the work-ups to and first half of their 2004 Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment. All 10 of VF-143's OIF jets are represented here. Through the work-up period and initial deployment, all of VF-143's Tomcats sported artwork of the aircraft mascot leaning on the Battle E award and rescue arrows in non-standard position. Aside AG100, all aircraft were painted in low-viasbility markings similar to what VF-143 had worn in the mid-1990s. Around mid-march of 2004, VF-143 altered their paint scheme to include a "Last Ride" badge instead of the mascot and Battle E. The rescue arrows were returned to standard position, and all aircraft recieved full color markings similar to those sported by AG100 for the duration of the cruise and fly-in. This skin covers the earlier livery. For the latter one, see 59th_Jack's "VF-143 Last Ride 2005" skin pack.

Installation:

1) Drop the F-14B folder in this file into your "Saved Games\DCS or DCS.openbeta\Liveries" folder.

2) Select the livery in DCS mission editor

Known Bugs:

1) No crew names on canopy rail.

I was unable to find quality images of all aircraft in the squadron showing crew names. Since I am attemtpting to replicate the whole squadron and the simulations in DCS are usually fictional situations, I have decided to forgo crew names at this time. Perhaps in the future.

This livery remains a work in progress. Please enjoy!
